A recent survey from Forbes Advisor revealed dogs are the most popular pet in the U.S. with over 86 million households* counting a four-legged companion as part of their family. However, 26% of pet owners say the biggest challenge they face is finding suitable care for their furry friends when traveling. As part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, Staybridge Suites is stepping up to ease the stress of traveling with dogs this summer.

In celebration of National Dog Day on August 26, Staybridge Suites is putting your pups first – making it easier than ever to book pet-friendly accommodations – by offering a ‘Paw-Parent Getaway’ for stays booked in the U.S. from August 1 through September 30. At participating properties, guests will receive 1,000 bonus IHG One Rewards points per night and 20 percent off their pet fee.

Additionally, every Wednesday throughout August (beginning on the 9^th) from 5:30 to 7 p.m, select properties will host a special, ‘Dog Days of Summer’ happy hour experience during the brand’s weekly ‘The Social’ specifically catered to canine friends – complete with toys, treats, dog-friendly ice cream, and a malt-barley beer concoction made just for dogs.

The Social’s ‘Dog Days of Summer’ rounds out the brand’s summer happy hour events calendar – which features a variety of complimentary, seasonal activities for guests to enjoy, such as grill nights, game nights, ice cream nights and movie nights (experiences may vary by property).
