Hello everyone, today I’m going to take you to see another newly opened hotel from the IHG chain in Thailand.

And it is the first hotel of this brand in Thailand.

Garner Hotel Pattaya Central is the first Garner brand in Thailand. It officially launched, following Japan in Osaka and Kyoto.

The Garner brand is a Midscale brand in the Conversion Brands segment of the IHG chain.

There are three main Midscale brands in the IHG chain: Holiday Inn Express, avid, and Garner. The brand with the highest number globally and one that everyone knows well is Holiday Inn Express. avid is a brand marketed in the Americas continent, focusing on new-builds. And Garner focuses on hotels that are rebranded to join the IHG group, allowing members to earn points and book directly through IHG One Rewards, which has over 145 million members worldwide.

The most important highlight of Garner Hotel Pattaya Central is its excellent and affordable price. It focuses on guests who come to stay, are not focused on staying in the hotel, go out to travel, and are not too interested in breakfast. These customers are typically looking for a Budget Hotel stay.

But by staying within IHG, we can still earn points at a great price, which can later be used to stay at luxury hotels, or by accumulating 40 nights in a year, we can even access the lounges in other expensive hotels. Isn’t that great?

But Garner Hotel Pattaya Central doesn’t just offer good prices; it also has a very good swimming pool, a fitness center, and breakfast is available for purchase. The breakfast spread is extensive and varied, arguably better than the brand’s standard, and it’s free for Diamond members! Compared to the earlier openings in Osaka and Kyoto, the breakfast at Garner Pattaya is much better.

The location, although not right on Pattaya Beach, is very convenient. There’s a 7/11 and restaurants right next to the hotel! A 500-meter, 10-minute walk will take you to Big C Extra Central Pattaya, which has many restaurants. Alternatively, walking to the beach is about 1.5 kilometers and takes 20 minutes. We took a bus to the North Pattaya Bus Terminal and traveled to the hotel in about 30 minutes, or a motorbike taxi costs 80 baht and takes only 10 minutes.

Garner Hotel Pattaya Central starts with rooms at 22 sq.m., which allows for a very good price, starting at just over a thousand baht. This includes using points for a free stay. Breakfast is not included with the room price, but it is free for Diamond members. The breakfast is diverse, very delicious, and offers great value.

I booked the starting room, 1 Queen Standard, which is 22 sq.m.

The guest room, especially the bedroom area, has been newly renovated and is well-done with pastel colors typical of the Garner style. There’s a wardrobe area with hangers and a safe. Slippers are provided. For the minibar, there are glasses and bottles for us to fill with water at the water filter machine on each floor.

A highlight of Garner is that the tea and coffee station is in the communal lobby area. The coffee is freshly brewed using beans from Chiang Mai! It’s served fresh, cup-by-cup, along with complimentary snacks throughout the day.

The room has a long table with a chair for dining, using a computer, or working, and a sofa corner for relaxing.

The Queen Size bed is comfortable. The view is facing the front of the hotel. The power sockets are standard.

The bathroom is still original and does not have toiletries pre-stocked. If you want a toothbrush, you can ask the staff to bring one. The amenities are the SKIN + SODA brand, in a beautiful bottle with a pleasant scent.

Garner Hotel Pattaya Central is an excellent choice for IHG One Rewards members and anyone looking to try and accumulate IHG status at a super value price. • The hotel has been newly renovated, making the rooms feel very new.
• The service from this chain is why I am a regular customer, especially at this location. I come so often that the staff now recognize me.
• The hotel offers very good value, whether paying or redeeming points; it’s extremely worthwhile for longer stays.
• Breakfast has a wide variety of choices and is very delicious.
• The swimming pool is beautiful.
• There are complimentary snacks, tea, and fresh coffee available in the common area.

Upon entering, you will find the Garner Corner, which offers tea and coffee. The coffee is freshly brewed, with beans sourced from Chiang Mai, and is available 24 hours a day.
There is also drinking water and complimentary snacks provided. Additionally, there is a Garner Shop selling various items.

The fitness center and swimming pool are located on the 9th floor. Take the elevator up to the 8th floor and then walk up one flight of stairs.

The swimming pool offers an open view all around the hotel. The atmosphere is excellent, and the pool is quite large, with plenty of seating and sunbeds.

Additionally, there is a laundry room with ironing facilities, located down on floor B1.

There is also a parking lot for guests who drive. There is more parking space than I expected. The hotel is currently building additional parking facilities.

For this stay, I booked the rate that included purchasing an extra 3,000 points for two nights, and I also got the X5 points rate. The price was about 4,700 Baht, which is quite a good deal.

Booking the X5 promotion means I’ll get approximately 12,600 points, plus free breakfast thanks to my Diamond status.

This hotel is a great value for accumulating points and nights! Though I wish there was a rate where I could buy 5,000 points—that would be an amazing deal.
