Today, I’m taking you to check out one of the hotels with the best breakfast in Bangkok—arguably ranking among the very top in the country.

For this stay, I booked through The Lux Reserve because I only hold entry-level status with the Hilton chain. Booking through The Lux Reserve granted me a wide range of fantastic benefits, including:

• Complimentary breakfast
• 100 USD hotel credit
• Early check-in and late check-out

I chose this hotel as my absolute first pick among the Ultra Luxury hotel options in Bangkok because I really wanted to try the breakfast here, which luxury hotel enthusiasts frequently rank as number one.

The hotel is the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.

This is one of Hilton’s premier properties in Bangkok, situated in the heart of the shopping, sightseeing, and retail district around Ratchadamri and Ratchaprasong—areas exceptionally popular with international travelers. It is located just 300 meters from both the Ratchadamri and Chit Lom BTS stations.

As an Ultra Luxury hotel within the Hilton portfolio, it represents the absolute pinnacle of the chain’s brands.

The surrounding area is extremely vibrant, close to numerous malls, shops, and restaurants. However, since this trip included hotel credits, I highly recommend using them right here at the property, as the food at the hotel’s restaurants is absolutely delicious!

This time, I stayed in a King Deluxe Room measuring 50 square meters.

Because I requested a good view, I was assigned a room overlooking the gardens, which can be enjoyed directly from the window.

The room is exceptionally well laid out and feels very spacious.

Walking in, you first enter the bedroom area, which features a sofa bench at the foot of the bed alongside a table—perfect for relaxing or enjoying a casual meal.

There is also an additional seating area with a table in the corner of the room, ideal for dining or working. It includes a workspace with a telephone, allowing you to work while taking in the view.

The welcome amenities included fresh fruit, cake, and fresh coconut water, which was a wonderful touch.

Walking further into the room on the left, you’ll find the minibar cabinet equipped with drinking water, Nespresso coffee, and Chaidum tea (a brand frequently used by luxury hotels in Thailand). The minibar is well-stocked, though consumption is chargeable.

The bed today is a King size and is exceptionally comfortable, paired with a massive television. A standout feature is the bedside control panel used to open and close the curtains and manage the lighting.

Walking into the freestanding walk-in closet area, the dressing room is very large with plenty of wardrobe space and luggage racks. An iron, slippers, a safe, and plenty of clothing hangers are also provided.

The toilet is separated into its own private room and features a luxurious Japanese-style smart toilet. The bathroom vanity area is configured with His & Her sinks and comes fully stocked with all amenities, including toothbrushes, a comb, mouthwash, and bathrobes.

The bathtub is enormous and wonderful for a relaxing soak. The shower features a rainfall showerhead, and the bath amenities are by Aesop, which smell amazing and look incredibly luxurious.

The breakfast here is phenomenal—incredibly diverse with an extensive à la carte menu available for ordering. Everything is delicious! The croissants are wonderful, the fruit selection includes grapes, and they even serve takoyaki alongside a wide variety of cakes.

For anyone looking for an ultra-luxury hotel right in the center of Bangkok within the shopping and tourist district, the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok is not to be missed. It is extremely convenient to get to and from the airport as well.

Especially for those wanting to experience top-tier breakfast—arguably one of the absolute best in Bangkok—you should definitely come and stay here. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. It is truly fantastic!

• The breakfast truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best hotel breakfasts. Incredible food, delicious, and top-tier quality—a absolute must-try!
• Plenty of beautiful photo spots throughout the hotel for photo lovers.
• The Thai restaurant on the 1st floor is exceptionally delicious! If you’re staying here, don’t miss it—it’s totally worth every penny.

The Waldorf Astoria Bangkok is located just around 300 to 400 meters from both the Chit Lom and Ratchadamri BTS stations. It’s super convenient, sitting right near major shopping malls like CentralWorld, Siam Paragon, and Central Chidlom, as well as plenty of shops and restaurants.

The 16th floor houses the swimming pool, fitness center, and spa. Once you step out of the elevator, you’ll see the reception desk right there.

ต้มยำกุ้งน้ำใส 790 บาท พร้อมกุ้งแม่น้ำ 1 ตัว แต่บอกถึงระดับความห่างชั้นของ ร้านอาหารทั่วไป กับ ระดับของ Ultra Luxury ได้จริงๆ มันห่างชั้นมากปกติแล้ว กุ้งแม่น้ำไซต์ นี้ เราไปทานตามร้านที่อยุธยา ผมว่าก็ราคาประมาณนี้ละครับ ต่อให้ย่างดีแค่ไหน ด้วยความที่ไซต์มันใหญ่ เนื้อก็จะแข็งๆ เลย

ที่ผมตกตะลึงในรสชาติของ กุ้งแม่น้ำในต้มยำที่นี้ คือกุ้งแช่อยู่ในน้ำต้มยำ มาได้สักพักแล้ว มีความ juicy ฉ่ำมาก เนื้อนุ่มละลายในปาก มีรสชาติของกุ้งอัดแน่นอยู่ในเนื้อกุ้ง ทำได้ยังไง!!! สุดยอดมากกกกกกกกก

I fell completely in love with the Tom Yum Goong at Front Room (Waldorf Astoria Bangkok).

Priced at 790 THB, this clear Tom Yum features one large river prawn and perfectly showcases the huge divide between ordinary dining and ultra-luxury gastronomy. Normally, river prawns of this size—even at famous spots in Ayutthaya—tend to have firm, tough meat regardless of how well grilled they are.

But here, even after soaking in the broth, the prawn was remarkably juicy, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and bursting with intense flavor. How is that even possible?! Incredible!

Based on my research, the chef likely poached the prawn to absolute precision before submerging it in ice water, creating that bouncy texture while locking in all the natural juices.

This single dish alone highlights the brilliance of Front Room and proves why it belongs in an ultra-luxury hotel. It’s amazing how master-level techniques can bring out the absolute best in an ingredient!
